The corporal is one of the most sacred altar linens made of pure white linen or cotton and is used during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. It is placed under the Chalice, paten and ciborium to catch any particles of the consecrated Host.

Purificator

The purificator is a small but essential piece of sacred linen used during the celebration of the Holy Mass . Its primary role is to clean the sacred vessels that come into contact with the Blood of Christ. Treated with great respect because it may be stained with the Precious Blood. Care and cleaning - it must be rinsed in a sacrarium (a special liturgical sink that drains into consecrated ground).


It is a stiff, square cloth called a chalice pall is used to cover the chalice, especially after the consecration during Mass, to protect the Precious Blood from contamination.
