The history of our Club (Kudd in Konkani) dates back to its establishment during colonial times, on (Date), by a group of parishioners from St. Anthony of Galgibaga Parish, which includes the villages of Chiplem, Galgibag, Sadolxem and Maxem.

The primary purpose of the Kudd was to serve as a community dwelling for parishioners from Galgibag who had come to Mumbai for work, education, or other needs. It also provided temporary accommodation for those in transit to foreign countries, especially seamen.

The Kudd functioned as a dormitory-style residence with a shared kitchen, where members lived together like a family, supporting one another while being far away from their homes.
